Activities
On the last day of creation, God put the finishing touch to his work: He took a hand full of pearls and threw them in front of the Dalmatian coast. So–as legend has it–the unique paradise of islands between Split and Dubrovnik has been created. Since then only few things has changed-water glimmers turquoise, beaches glitter white as pearls. A small lovely island located in the south of Dalmatia, where the rhythm of life is the rhythm of the earth and the sea, of the Sun and the Moon. Here the sun faithfully tickles you awake, and the sparkling sea with its deep blue-green color invites you for a good morning swim. Peacefully, the fishermen arrive back to the harbor, bringing their fresh catch of the day. Far away from stress, traffic and cars you stroll along old stone steps, to enjoy your morning coffee. Depending on how you feel, there are lots of possibilities to put your day to good use. Little taxi boats take you to the foreground islands, where you can bake and fry under the sun with or without wearing anything, the choice is yours.
Snorkeling
The crystalline water along the rocky parts of the coastline is a real El Dorado for all snorkeling fans. Don’t forget to put your mask, snorkel and flippers in your suitcase – at a pinch you can also buy the equipment on the island.
Diving

Several diving centres give you a chance to explore, feel and see Hvar "down under" in its magic depths. Dalmatia's underwater world has inspired Jacques Costeau’s explorations. Thousands of islands with variety of bright colour, fascinate tourists each year. The shipwrecks take you back in time to the ancient days, giving you a chance to explore. Here scientists and photographers can find a real Mecca of rare animals. The rocks and the clear water surrounding them, are also a genuine El Dorado for snorkelling fans. So bring your goggles and fins along, but don't worry if you forget to pack them, you can rent them out here on the island.
Sailing Trips
It is not a captain's secret anymore: The Adriatic Sea, the Dalmatian coast and the offshore island’s world particularly, are part of the gems under the yachtsman areas in the Mediterranean sea. One can hardly imagine a better and more interesting area, and widely travelling experts in sport navigation always come back. The yachtsmen and motorboat drivers were the first ones who returned to their traditional places after the war in the former Yugoslavia had finished. Great international sail events take place again in Croatia.
Wind-Surfing

The lively winds offer surfers perfect conditions to race over the waves. Surfers all over the world know about the secret of Croatian winds; they are not only popular in the summer time, with warm temperatures and the Mistrial (NW) Yugo (SE) winds, but also in spring and autumn, when the strong Bura wind (NE) blow sand the waves grow powerful and fast. The strength of the wind at this time can rise to 9 - 10 on the Beaufort wind scale. During these seasons you can admire professional surfers on the beaches of Croatia. On the days without wind, the ocean resembles a smooth mirror, and it is perfect to wake up boarders or water skiers -pure fun!

Those who prefer trekking, or just want to have a relaxing walk, will enjoy the rich, sweet smelling plants (pines, agaves, lavender, rosemary..). Use your sixth sense to find an isolated bay, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. After enjoying sport activities, fun and sun, you should treat yourself by some delicious food. The clean water guarantees the best quality fish. The healthy life of the animals is the reason for the first class meat, especially the popular lamb. Hvar is also famous for its friendly and hospitable people - people who welcome you, make you feel comfortable, people you will never forget. The memories will let the sun shine on you, and make you want to come back for more!

Hinges
Professional fishermen and hobby anglers can find ideal conditions with extensive fish presence in the Adriatic Sea. In 1998 one of guests showed his 1.90m tuna fish, caught in front of Bozava. His struggle with one of the strongest fish in the sea, went on for 3 hours. A beautiful hinge cookie is always attractive, who would not like to ease and forget the world around himself, just like old Roman Kais of Zadar, and not only for high sea hinges.
